But no MOUNTAINTOP experience is devoid of spending some time in the VALLEY! Pastor Lue is also a living witness of VALLEY life as: a baby not expected to live beyond his first 24 hours of life due to a rare gastric condition that continues to challenge him to this day; a product of a single mother home, due to the death of his natural father at the age of 4, followed by the life transitions of both his parental and maternal grandparents; an endurer of a nomadic childhood which found him moving from state to state, city to city and school to school as his mother did her best to better their quality of life, even though it made it difficult to establish roots in any particular community (ironically, this same cycle can be seen in his adult life as he strives to climb higher in his calling in life); and as a potential stereotypical statistic of a young black man with talents, gifts and graces to take the world by storm, but who has, at times, did not exercised the discipline necessary to handle the storms life can bring. Yes, life for him has been ‘no crystal stair’, yet the tacks and splinters he has had to experience have made him a STRONGER, WISER and BETTER man and servant for the Lord and His people. For all that he has accomplished and endured, Pastor Lue unashamedly presses toward the MARK. . . . Found in Christ Jesus, his Lord!
